What are activities?
Community activities on Made Open platforms are ways for individuals, families, and volunteers to connect, participate, and engage locally.
They include a variety of activity types on the platform (depending on which features you have licensed):
- Listings – Information about local groups, services, or community resources.
- Events – Workshops, meetups, classes, or social gatherings you can attend.
- Volunteering opportunities – Ways to get involved and support local projects or organisations.
- Job vacancies – Local roles and positions available within community organisations.
- Offers / Requests – People sharing or seeking help, resources, or support.
- Challenges – Community-driven tasks or campaigns that encourage participation and collaboration.
- Conversations – Discussions or forums where members can connect, share advice, or ask questions.
All of these activity types can be found by users within the activity stream - which is sometimes also streamed on to the homepage.
